Product Description

Polypropylene Surgical Mesh is a sterile, non-absorbable mesh constructed from knitted filaments of extruded polypropylene, identical in composition to MELENE® Polypropylene Suture. The material is biologically inert, non-reactive, and retains its tensile strength indefinitely when implanted in the body.

The mesh is manufactured using a unique knitting process that interlinks each fiber junction, providing elasticity in both directions. This bi-directional elasticity allows the mesh to adapt to varying physiological stresses and enables it to be cut into any required shape or size without unraveling.

MELENE® Mesh is macro-porous, allowing high visibility, effective tissue ingrowth, and optimal colonization, while its lightweight construction minimizes foreign body mass and promotes flexible scar tissue formation. It is ideal for reinforcing traumatic or surgical wounds and for hernia repair where long-term support is required. The mesh is EO sterilized and double packed in Tyvek and medical-grade pouches to ensure maximum sterility and safety.
