Monofilament Polyglecaprone 25 Suture is a premium synthetic absorbable surgical suture manufactured from a copolymer of 75% Poly (Glycolide) and 25% Co-Caprolactone. Designed for reliable wound closure and tissue approximation, this monofilament suture provides excellent handling characteristics, secure knot performance and predictable absorption.
Its smooth monofilament structure allows easy passage through tissue with minimal tissue drag and reduced tissue trauma. The suture is non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic, and causes minimal tissue reaction during the absorption process. Absorption occurs through hydrolysis and is completed within approximately 60 to 90 days, providing dependable wound support during the critical healing period.
Monofilament Polyglecaprone 25 Sutures are commonly used for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. The product is supplied sterile in aluminum foil packaging with or without needles to ensure maximum safety and performance.
