Product Description
Monofilament Polyamide Suture is a sterile, non-absorbable surgical suture manufactured from long-chain aliphatic polyamide polymers, Nylon 6 and Nylon 6,6. Its monofilament construction ensures low tissue drag, reduced bacterial adherence, and smooth passage through tissue.
The suture is dyed black (and also available in green variants) to enhance visibility during surgical procedures. MELON® provides outstanding tensile strength, dependable knot security, and minimal tissue reaction, making it suitable for both routine and specialized surgical applications.
It is widely used in general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures. The product is EO sterilized and packed in medical-grade foil packaging, available with or without needles.
