Product Description
The Closed Suction Catheter System is engineered to maintain ventilation and oxygenation while performing endotracheal suctioning in critically ill and mechanically ventilated patients. Designed to reduce circuit disconnection, the system minimizes the risk of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) and improves overall patient safety.
Manufactured from non-toxic, medical-grade PVC, the catheter features a soft, smooth distal tip with lateral eyes and clear depth markings to ensure atraumatic insertion and precise placement. The transparent polymer sheath allows continuous visual monitoring of secretions while preventing contamination.
An integrated bronchoscopy port enables uninterrupted bronchoscopic procedures without breaking the ventilator circuit. The system includes an MDI port for effective drug delivery, an irrigation port with one-way valve for catheter flushing, and an on/off suction control that isolates the catheter within a closed cleaning chamber.
A 360° swivel elbow connector enhances maneuverability and reduces torque on the endotracheal tube, while the flexi-mount connector improves patient comfort. Color-coded labels assist in catheter change scheduling, and the wedge mechanism allows easy removal of the endotracheal tube.
The MED038 system is available in 24-hour and 72-hour use configurations and is suitable for adult and pediatric patients.
